Account Manager

Full Time
Commercial Lines
(All Locations – Honolulu, Lihue, Wailuku, Hilo)

Assists in the production of new accounts and the retention of existing accounts in the underwriting and coordination of commercial accounts with various insurance companies as well as surplus brokers. Provides technical and clerical support for the Producers/Agents. Maintains client contact regarding coverage, policy changes, etc. Provides prompt, efficient, high quality service to designated accounts in support of Producer activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Requires working to established procedures and meeting deadlines.
  • Maintains knowledge of underwriting criteria for carriers represented by the agency.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision and have good problem solving skills.
  • Must have the ability to understand policy forms, rating and coverage descriptions.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and basic knowledge of computer programs.
  • Type 30 – 45 wpm.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
  • A Hawaii Property-Casualty insurance producer’s license required by the State of Hawaii Department of Insurance.
