Flotation foam
Our flotation forms are made from EthaFoamTM which is a proprietary derivative polyethylene foam. Polyethylene foam is a durable, lightweight, resilient, closed-cell material. It has excellent vibration dampening and insulation properties. It also offers high resistance to chemicals and moisture, which makes it ideal for use as a flotation foam.
Closed cell foam
A closed cell foam is made when the air bubbles created during the blowing process are continuous and therefore closed. The bubbles usually contain gas at a pressure suitable to maintain the cell. The strength of closed cell foams can therefore be determined by the gas type and pressure used in the process.
The tightly formed cellular structure gives closed cell foams inherent strength and rigidity. Our EthaFoamsTM are the ideal foam to use as a base layer in seat cushions, providing strength, rigidity and light weight.
Proprietary foam
In addition to the standard Ethafoam 4101, we have partnered with Ethafoam to design and develop our own specialty versions. Available exclusively through Aerofoam.
